Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –More than 70 Palestinians wounded on Thursday evening when an Israeli leftover missile exploded in northern Gaza Strip.
Medical sources said at least fifteen of the wounded suffered serious injuries, and confirmed there were no deaths.

The wounded were rushed to the main hospital in northern Gaza, but all the moderate and critical cases were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, the main and largest hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian ministry of interior said the explosion happened during the dismantling of an unexploded F16 rocket targeted playground during the Israeli summer’s offensive on Gaza.
Meanwhile, Hamas military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, said the blast in Al-Atatra Neighbourhood of Gaza City was an explosion of an unexploded F16 Israeli missile targeted one of their training bases in the north of Gaza.
Experts were dismantling the missile, Al-Qassam said, when it exploded, caused uch damage in the surrounding areas and wounded a big number of civilians.
Locals reported that the blast caused an electricity blackout in the area.
During the latest Israeli war, ten people, including three journalists –one of them Italian– were killed in a similar accidents. Similar accidents continued after the end of the war.
Hundreds of Israeli unexploded missiles have been found in different places along the Gaza Strip. A large number of people reported unexploded missiles in their partially damaged houses, as well as in their farms.
More than ten Palestinians have been killed in similar accidents and tens have been wounded so far.
