Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces kidnapped on Thursday morning Palestinian minor from Al-Khalil, southern West Bank.
Eyewitnesses told Days of Palestine that the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Khalil and searched tens of Palestinian houses.
While inspecting one of the houses, they found a teenage lying under his bed. They pulled him out and kidnapped him, claiming he threw stones at them during the previous day.
“He is young and when he heard them [Israeli occupation forces] knocking the door, he hid himself under his bed,” father Fadel Hammad said.
He father added: “My son Mohamed saw the Israeli occupation forces beating one of his classmates yesterday [Wednesday]; therefore, he was afraid he would be beaten.”
Israeli forces routinely storm West Bank towns and villages at night and arrests civilians of different ages.
Just in last March, they carried out an average of around 75 raids a week in the Palestinian neighbourhoods, villages and cities, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported.
Over 6,000 Palestinian political prisoners are currently being held in Israeli jails on the basis of policies the international community has decried as discriminatory and illegal such as administrative detention.
