The Israeli Occupation Court postponed Tuesday morning, March 21, 2023 the court hearing of the Palestinian journalist Lama Ghosheh until April 18, 2023.
On September 13, 2022, the Israeli occupation released the journalist, Ghosheh, from Jerusalem, from the Israeli “Damon” prison, on the condition that she was prevented from using social media, and transferred her to house arrest.
That the story repeats itself again, Local sources said that the Israeli occupation court postponed the trial of journalist Ghosheh, on the condition that she remains under house arrest until the date of her trial, noting that she has been under this detention for 6 months.
It’s noteworthy that the Israeli occupation pursues and detains Palestinian activists and influencers in order to prevent them from exposing the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people and suppressing freedom of the press, which violates international law and norms.
Note that 4,500 Palestinians are currently detained inside Israeli occupation prisons, including 400 who have severe and chronic illnesses, 31 women, and 500 administrative detainees.
In the absence of strong pressure to stop the systemic inhumane abuses, the racist and fascist policies of the Prison Service Administration have a negative impact on Palestinian detainees.
