Israeli occupation forces threatened on Monday, September 5, to close a Palestinian school in Deir Nizam, West of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that large numbers of Israeli occupation forces broke into the school located in Deir Nizam and summoned the school manager.
The sources added that Israeli occupation forces notified the school manager of their intention to close the school for one month, alleging that the students threw stones at the soldiers.
The Israeli occupation has a long history of obstructing the educational process in Palestine, depriving Palestinian students of their legal right to have a safe and secure education.
Earlier in August, Israeli occupation authorities canceled the permanent licenses of six Palestinian schools in Jerusalem under the pretext that their curricula contain ‘dangerous incitement against the Israeli government’.
