Palestinian Prisoner Mohammad Aradeh Enters His 22nd Year in Israeli Prisons

Mohammad Qasim Ahmad Aradeh, a 41-year-old Palestinian prisoner from the town of Arraba in southern Jenin, has entered on Sunday, May 14, 2023, his 22nd year in Israeli occupation prisons.

Aradeh was arrested on May 14th, 2002, and sentenced to 3 consecutive life sentences in addition to 20 more years in prison.

Aradeh was among the prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison through a tunnel on September 6th, 2021, according to Mansour Sammour, the director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club in Jenin. A few days later, the Israeli forces re-arrested him, and an Israeli court sentenced him to an additional five years in prison.

The Israeli occupation is currently holding about 5000 Palestinians behind unjust bars, including children, women, and administrative detainees.
