Palestinian Prisoner Abu Ali Dies Inside Israeli Jails Due to Medical Negligence

S.K | DOP -

The Palestinian prisoner Ahmed Badr Abdullah Abu Ali (48 years) from the city of Yatta, south of Hebron, died Friday dawn, February 10, 2023 at Soroka Hospital, as a result of deliberate medical negligence (slow killing).

The Prisoners Club said in a statement that the prisoner Abu Ali, who has been detained since 2012, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Abu Ali is a father of nine children, and there are about two years left until his release date. Over these years, he has suffered from several diseases, chronic heart health problems, diabetes and others.

In addition to his suffering, it was accompanied by the deliberate procrastination of the prison administration in providing him with the necessary treatment, in conducting medical examinations, and in monitoring his health status, until this led to killing him today.

The Palestinian martyr Abu Ali is the only brother of seven sisters, that during his imprisonment, his parents died and he was deprived of encountering the last farewell.

The Prisoners Club held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for his martyrdom, and for the current conditions of all sick Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli jails, as well as the wounded, considering that what happened with the prisoner Abu Ali is a crime.

Besides the long list of unfinished crimes that the occupation carries out with systematic tools on a daily basis, the Israeli crime of medical negligence is the most prominent and dangerous of these tools, and it was the central reason for the martyrdom of many prisoners during the past few years.
