Three Palestinian prisoners in the occupation prisons are continuing their open hunger strike as a refusal of their administrative detention. The oldest of whom is Imad Swarka, who has been on his strike for 39 days, in addition to the two prisoners Musab al-Hor, and the journalist Alaa Al-Rimawi.
The Prisoner Club stated, in a press statement today, Sunday, that the 37-year-old prisoner Swarka, from Jericho, began his hunger strike since March 18, 2021, after the occupation issued a new administrative detention order against him, which is the third since his first detention in July 2020.
The Prisoner Club confirmed that the prisoner Swarka, a former prisoner and father of five children, is facing a difficult health condition and it’s getting worse over time.
It’s to be mentioned that the occupation prisons administration detains him in the cells of the “Ashkelon” prison, where he was transferred to, after announcing the strike, pointing out that even Now there are no serious solutions to his case.
The prisoner Musab Al-Hor (33 years) from Hebron continues his hunger strike for the 13th day in a row, and he began his strike on the 13th of April and has been in the cells of the “Negev Desert” prison, knowing that he has been detained since 2019, and he is a former prisoner who has spent years in the occupation prisons, he is married and a father of one child.
The journalist prisoner Alaa al-Rimawi from Ramallah continues his open hunger strike for 5 consecutive days, as he was transferred yesterday from the “Etzion” prison to the Israeli “Shaare Zedek” hospital.
Al-Rimawi is a former prisoner who spent a total of 11 years in the occupation prisons. He is married and has five children. He was arrested on April 21 due to his journalistic work, and he declared his strike on the first day of his detention.
