DaysofPal — The senior Hamas official Bassem Naim stated that thousands of Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement have been documented since it came into effect, as the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip marks its 1,000th day.
In a statement on the social media platform X, Naim noted that 3,503 Israeli violations have been recorded, resulting in the deaths of 1,059 Palestinians and injuries to 3,429 others.
According to Naim, the Israeli violations include 1,359 incidents of gunfire, 1,546 shelling attacks, 387 airstrikes, 145 ground incursions, 66 arrests, and 387 demolitions of homes, averaging approximately 13.3 violations per day.
He added that among those killed since the ceasefire began are 247 children, 114 women, and 32 elderly individuals, while the wounded include 953 children, 610 women, and 146 elderly people.
Naim also highlighted ongoing restrictions on humanitarian aid and movement, stating that only 56,342 aid trucks have entered Gaza, about 35.7 percent of the estimated need.
He said that access for fishermen remains limited and that only 8,174 out of 22,400 registered travelers have been able to leave Gaza via the Rafah crossing, representing 36.4 percent.
In his statement, Naim said the 1,000-day mark reflects the scale of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, adding that Palestinians have “paid a heavy price” but remained steadfast.
He criticized the international inaction, particularly by Western countries, adding, “1,000 days and our people in Gaza are being destroyed in full view, where history would judge those who remained silent or supported the war.”
Naim’s remarks come amid ongoing tensions and reports of continued Israeli violations despite the ceasefire agreement, alongside growing warnings over the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
