Jordan condemns Israeli attacks on the citizens of occupied Jerusalem

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the Israeli police attacks on Jerusalemites at the Damascus Gate and in separate areas in occupied Jerusalem.

Today, Sunday, the ministry’s spokesperson, Ambassador Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, said that Israeli police attacks on Jerusalemites and the use of violence against them are unacceptable and a condemned violation.

Al-Fayez called on the Israeli authorities to adhere to their obligations as an occupying power in occupied Jerusalem in accordance with international law, to stop attacking Jerusalemites, to stop the attacks on them, and not to confiscate their right to gather freely and safely, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, and not impede their access to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He warned against harming Jerusalem and Jerusalemites and the consequences of what the Israeli police do against Jerusalemites, calling for effective international action to protect them from attacks.
