A UN report said that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished or confiscated 20 buildings for Palestinians in Area (C) and occupied Jerusalem, claiming the lack of building permits, during the past two weeks.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs "OCHA" stated in the "Protection of Civilians" report covering from 30 March to 12 April 2021 that the demolitions had resulted in the displacement of 13 citizens, and damage to the livelihood of about 90 others.
He pointed out that ten buildings were demolished in eight communities in Area C, and one of the demolitions resulted in the displacement of seven people in the Dahrat al-Nada area in Bethlehem.
He stated that the Israeli occupation authorities confiscated a tent that provided humanitarian aid in Susya, Hebron, and forced a family of six to demolish their home in Jabal Al-Mukaber neighborhood, south of Jerusalem, and demolished six buildings their owners used to secure their livelihoods in Al-Issawiya.
The Israeli occupation authorities also issued six orders to stop work in at least 32 Palestinian residential and agricultural buildings and a road in Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar in Tubas.
The report added that Israeli settlers injured seven Palestinians, including boys, and damaged trees. The boys were physically assaulted in two separate incidents in the Israeli-controlled area of Hebron.
It reported that the other five had stones thrown or were physically assaulted while they were cultivating their lands, including four in Nabi Saleh in Ramallah and one in Jalud in Nablus.
The Palestinians indicated that about 100 olive seedlings were uprooted in Qusra in Nablus, and a house was damaged by a Molotov cocktail in the Israeli-controlled area of Hebron and water meters in Kefel Haris in Salfit.
According to the UN report; Settlers bulldozed Palestinian lands in Nablus, Hebron, and Ramallah, settlers physically assaulted an Israeli activist who was in the village to provide protection for Palestinian shepherds and injured him.
It also indicated that, during the past two weeks, the Israeli occupation forces carried out 154 search and arrest operations and arrested 167 Palestinians in various parts of the occupied West Bank.
Ramallah governorate recorded the highest number of these operations (43), followed by Jerusalem (27) and Hebron (23).
The Israeli forces injured 52 other Palestinians in various parts of the occupied West Bank, 23 of them were wounded during four searches and arrest operations in Silwan in Jerusalem, Al-Aroub camps in Hebron, and Aqabat Jabr in Jericho and Nablus.
On the level of the injured, the report indicated that 29 Palestinians received treatment for inhaling tear gas, 12 were wounded with rubber-coated metal bullets, five with live ammunition, and six were physically assaulted or sprayed with hot pepper spray.
In the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces fired "warning fire" on at least 14 occasions near the Israeli border fence or off the coast, claiming to impose restrictions on access.
