Days of Palestine – Jerusalem

Last night and at dawn today, the Israeli occupation forces arrested a number of citizens in separate areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

In occupied Jerusalem, sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces arrested 3 young men from the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem.

Earlier yesterday evening, the Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian youths from sitting on the amphitheater of the Damascus Gate, and as a result, clashes broke out at the site.

Two young men were also detained at the Tribes Gate and prevented from breaking the fast inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In Ramallah, the Israeli occupation forces closed, after midnight, the Qalandia checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, and prevented citizens and vehicles from passing through the checkpoint, claiming that a suspicious object was found.

Local sources pointed out that the closure of the checkpoint caused a suffocating traffic crisis in the neighborhoods of Qalandia and Kafr Aqab.

In Hebron, the Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man, Jawad Jaradat, while he was at the Beit Einoun junction, north of Hebron.

In Nablus, last night, groups of settlers attacked citizens' vehicles south of the city.

Local sources indicated that settlers threw stones at vehicles of citizens passing through Huwara and "Yitzhar" roads.

Separate areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem witness daily night incursions, interspersed with raids and searches of homes, vandalizing their contents, and terrorizing their residents, especially women and children.
