The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" condemned the crime of an attempt by a terrorist Zionist settler to burn the "Grotto of Gethsemane" church in occupied Jerusalem, describing the zionist racist behavior as extremist and hostile to all values, morals and principles.
Fawzi Barhoum, Hamas spokesperson, said in a press statement that the repeated attacks on mosques, churches and places of worship by Israeli settlers and Zionist soldiers are the result of direct and official incitement by official Israeli institutions against our Palestinian people, their land and their sanctities.
Barhoum held the Israeli occupation the results and repercussions of the continuation of these criminal acts by its forces and settlers.
Barhoum called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem and everywhere in Palestine to confront the settlers' crimes and work to protect and defend the holy sites, regardless of the sacrifices.
