Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Deputy Israeli Knesset Speaker Moshe Feiglin desecrated on Sunday Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Witnesses said that Feiglin and nine Jewish settlers stormed the Mosque amid angry shouts from Palestinian worshippers.
However, the Israeli police said it would not allow Israelis to raid the Mosque in wake of the tension sparked by the assassination attempt of the extremist Jewish rabbi on Wednesday, but the Israeli police escorted Feiglin to secure his act.
Israeli police imposed restrictions on the access of Palestinian worshippers, banning men under 40 from entering the holy site.
Resident of the city of Jerusalem have been angry since the liquidation of the former Palestinian prisoner Mu’taz Hijazi on Thursday after he had been reportedly accused of carrying out the assassination attempt of the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick.
The Israeli occupation forces, officials and settlers have been almost everyday desecrating the Mosque since August.
Jerusalem is part of the holy land for Muslims and Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest place on earth for them.
