Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli occupation forces arrested in October 400 Palestinians, including 55 boys and 19 women, study centre said on Saturday.
Palestine’s Prisoners Study Centre based in the occupied West Bank said in a statement that 110 from the civilians arrested by the Israeli occupation from the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The study centre also noted that the Israeli occupation forces arrested 90 civilians from Al-Khalil and five brothers from the village of Zowateh, to the west of Nablus.
According to the data published by the centre, one of the civilians arrested was disabled, another was suffering psychological disorders and a third was a 12-year old child who is mentally ill.
Riyad al-Ashqar, the researcher in the study centre said that 55 children, including a 10-year old girl, who was beaten by an Israeli Jewish settler in Jerusalem, were among the Palestinians arrested by the Israeli occupation.
The researcher also said that the Israeli occupation forces arrested 19 Palestinian women; most of them were arrested from the Sanctuary Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Administrative detention
During October, the Israeli occupation authorities issued 121 new administrative detention orders, including 26 orders for new prisoners and 95 orders were renewed for already prisoners under administrative detention.
Al-Ashqar said that six of the prisoners, who had new administrative detention orders or their administrative detention was renewed, are parliamentarians.
Concluding the statement, the study centre accused the Israeli occupation of committing a “savage crime” by the liquidation of the former prisoner Mu’taz Hijazi.
Hijazo was reportedly accused by the Israeli occupation forces of carrying out the assassination attempt of the extremist Israeli rabbi Yehud Glick. He was chased and killed without any investigations.
Another study showed that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers killed seven Palestinians during October, including the kindergarten girl Inas Khalil, who was ran over with another classmate by an Israeli settler in the outskirts of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
