Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli occupation forces shot and critically wounded a Palestinian teenager on Sunday evening, causing him fell unconscious.
Medical sources named the teen as Mohamed abdul-Majid, 16, from Wadi Al-Joze. They said he was shot in the head with a rubber-coated steel bullet and suffered fracture in the skull.
“Mohamed was speaking on his mobile phone while walking to a nearby mosque for late evening prayers when he was hit,” his father said.
Witnesses said that the teen was shot by an Israeli undercover force was wandering the area for unknown reasons.
He underwent emergency surgery at Hadassah Medical Centre to stop bleeding on his brain and to remove bone fragments caused by the hit of the bullet.

The teen is currently unconscious in an intensive care unit and, medical sources said, he is in a critical condition.
Mohamed had been preparing for the new school year, his father said, adding that the Israeli forces have been provoking locals in recent weeks by firing tear gas, rubber coated-bullets and pepper spray.
