Over 100k Israeli Settlers Demonstrate against Netanyahu’s Far-Right Government

Tens of thousands of Israeli settlers participated this evening, Saturday, February 4, in huge demonstrations in several areas in the occupied Palestinian cities, against facist far-right Netanyahu’s government.

The circle of protests against Netanyahu’s government expanded to include dozens of towns from the north to the south, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Beersheba, Rishon Lezion and Herzliya.

Protests continue, for the fifth consecutive week, against the Israeli government and the plan of Minister of Justice Yariv Levin, which aimed at weakening the judiciary and undermining the Supreme Court in the new occupation goverment.

The largest protest participation was in Tel Aviv, where thousands of Israeli settlers gathered in “Habima” Square, while tens of thousands participated in a protest march towards “Kaplan” Street.

The number of demonstrators reached more than 40,000 in Tel Aviv, more than 10,000 in Haifa, and more than 2000 in front of the Israeli president’s house in Jerusalem.

Hundrtimeof Israeli settlers demonstrated for the first time in front of the municipal building in Ashdod.

The Israeli occupation forces closed many streets, coinciding with the beginning of the demonstrations against the Netanyahu government.

The participants raised banners bearing phrases in Hebrew, English and Arabic, including “Palestinian lives matter”, “A people occupying another people cannot be free”, and “Netanyahu, Smotrich, and Ben Gvir are a threat to world peace”.

The demonstrators also demanded Netanyahu’s resignation due to his involvement in corruption cases.
