An Israeli soldier was shot and killed on Monday, 13 February 2023 by his fellow gunfire while he trying to deliberately kill a Palestinian child.
Local Palestinain media reported that an Israeli soldier shot and killed his fellow while he trying to shoot and kill a Palestinian child near the Israeli military checkpoint of Shuafatthe in occuiped Jerusalem.
This incident comes in the context of the powers instructed by the far-right Israeli Minister of Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, to the Israeli occupation troopers, which allow them to open fire and expand the scope of field executions against the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
Israeli media claimed that the 14-year-old Palestinian child tried to carry out a stabbing attack against Israeli forces stationed near the Israeli military checkpoint of Shuafat in occupied Jerusalem.
Palestinian acts of resistance come as a normal reaction to Israeli occupation’s escalated violations against the Palestinian people in the occupied Jerusalem and West Bank including the unjustified field executions, illegal demolition and detention orders, and military raids into the Palestinian towns and villages.
It’s worth noting that since the beginning of 2023, Israeli occupation forces and settlers claimed the lives of 46 Palestinians including 9 children, an elderly woman, and a Palestinian detainee in the Israeli occupation jails.
