The Palestinian Prisoners Club said Monday, February 13, 2023 that the Israeli occupation prison administration informed Palestinian prisoners, specifically in the “Nafha” and “Gilboa” Israeli prisons, that it would begin to reduce the hours during which prisoners can take shower.
The Prisoners Club stated in a press statement that this punitive measure comes in implementation of the first measures recommended by the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir against Palestinian prisoners, which is to reduce the duration of the hours during which they can shower, so that it is an hour for each section.
The Club added that this decision is an indication of an escalation in the level of aggression against Palestinian prisoners’ detention life.
It is noteworthy that the prisoners, since the formation of the new far-right government, and with the escalation of the unprecedented level of incitement, have declared a state of rebellion inside prisons, in preparation for confronting these measures once applied.
