Israeli settlers backed by Israeli forces attacked on Saturday, 15 April 2023 the Palestinian landowners and shepherds in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Local Palestinian sources reported that a large group of armed Israeli settlers invaded the villages of Al Hamra and Kharouba and attacked the Palestinian shepherds, causing some material damage.
Masafer Yatta and surrounding Palestinian communities are subject to ongoing Israeli violations, including multiple assaults by illegal colonizers against Palestinian farmers and their lands.
Masafer Yatta, located in southern Hebron Hills, extends over 30,000 dunams, with a population of 2,500 residents distributed over 12 villages or hamlets.
More than 2000 Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta face imminent expulsion from their homes by the Israeli occupation under the pretext of classifying it as a military training area for the Israeli forces in which the Palestinians have no right to live.
Since the beginning of 2023, Israeli settlers have carried out more than 220 attacks on Palestinians and their own property in the occupied West Bank, 230 of which caused property damage, and 60 of them caused injuries to Palestinian residents, according to United Nations reports.
More than 650,000 colonial settlers distributed among 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on the stolen lands of occuiped West Bank and Jerusalem.
The West Bank and Jerusalem lands are occupied territories based on International law due to this all Israeli settlement-building activities there are illegal.
