Israeli Occupation Renews Administrative Detention of Palestinian Detainee For 4th Time

19 Palestinian Detainees Enter 4th Decade in Israeli Prisons
M.S | DOP -

The Israeli Occupation Court renewed today, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the administrative detention of a Palestinian detainee for the fourth time, without details of his charge.

Local sources said that the Israeli Ofer Court renewed the administrative detention of the detainee Mohsen Hassan Kmail, from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, for 4 months for the fourth time.

The Palestinian Prisoner Club in Jenin stated that the Israeli occupation forces detained Kmail on 3/30/2022. After 12 days of his detention, the occupation authorities issued an administrative detention order, claiming that he had a secret file and that he “posed a threat to the security of the occupation.”

The Israeli occupation authorities claim that the Palestinian administrative detainees have secret files that cannot be disclosed at all, so the detainee does not know the length of his sentence or the charge against him. The administrative detainee is often subject to the renewal of the detention period more than once, and it may sometimes reach a full year, which is also subject to renewal.
