Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) delivered Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 19 notices to stop work and construction of Palestinian-owned residential facilities in the town of Al-Zawiya, west of occupied Salfit.
Deputy Mayor of Al-Zawiya Municipality, Ghassan Shuqair, stated that the occupation forces stormed the northeastern area of the town and distributed notices to stop work and construction for 19 Palestinian-owned facilities in the “Mayon” area under the pretext of building in an area classified as “C”.
Ghassan added that these notices were distributed to inhabited houses, including those under construction, and a Mosque that was built only 6 years ago.
For his part, the governor of Salfit Dr. Abdullah Kamil, described what the occupation forces are have been doing by handing over decisions to stop work and construction as unjust illegal policies against Palestinian citizens with the evident intention of ethnic cleansing.
He added that the new Israeli extremist government has crossed all lines even in persecuting places of worship and practicing organized state terrorism against the rights of the Palestinians and their property,
