The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas warned on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, against the order issued by the Israeli security minister Itamar Bin-Gvir to continue demolishing Palestinian homes during Ramadan.
In a statement, the movement warned against ‘the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s order to continue demolishing Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan’.
In addition, the statement called on the Arab and Muslim world and human rights groups to urgently work to put an end to the fierce home demolition campaign that the Israeli occupation is threatening to carry out during Ramadan.
Hisham Qasem, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau Abroad, affirmed that the Palestinian people are preparing to confront any Israeli measure aimed at driving them out of their homeland.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right wing minister, ordered earlier on Monday the Israeli military to continue the demolition of Palestinian homes in occupied Jerusalem during Ramadan, marked on March 23.
The demolitions will be carried out against the Palestinian homes whose owners were denied to obtain building permits by the Israeli occupation authorities.
