Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Israeli occupation political leadership decided Tuesday to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque to Jews from next Friday until the end of Ramadan, two political sources confirmed to Hebrew media following the confrontations that erupted in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Final decisions regarding closing times will be made by the Israeli occupation forces according to an assessment of the situation on the ground as in the past, and will likely start only on Sunday.
Israeli settlers stormed the Mosque several times provoking Muslim worshipers in the holy month of Ramadan under heavy forces protection which led to confrontations erupting in recent days on the backdrop of the “terrorist” settlers’ organizations’ calls to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli occupation officials said there was nothing new in the decision to close the place at the end of Ramadan, and that this also happened in previous years, “Temple Mount activists” claimed that the closure period in the past was at most three or four days instead of 12 days as is the case.
In response to that, the head of the Autzmah Yehudet party, terrorist extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben Ghafir, said that closing the Al-Aqsa Mosque to the Jews is a victory for Hamas and “terrorism”. “Bent presented this evening an award to the enemy and gave the keys of state to the Shura Council,” he added.
Yet, the Palestinian worshippers will never give up defending their sanctities and this decision came after they reacted to Israeli extremist settlers’ incursions.
Palestinian worshippers are today united in the face of Israeli occupation oppression and they refuse to change the status quo. This decision comes as a triumph of the right of Palestinians to worship.
