The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) demolished Monday, March 13, 2023 a brick factory in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, and confiscated its equipment.
The Palestinian owner of the factory, Fadi Al-Salaimeh, stated in a phone call that the factory was established 50 years ago on a Palestinian waqf land, and clarified that the aim of demolishing is to seize the land before confiscating its equipment.
It’s noteworthy that the occupation forces also seized a diesel tank belonging to the Al-Salaimeh family.
Israeli occupation escalated the demolition orders against the Palestinian homes and properties in the towns and villages in occupied Jerusalem, aiming to force the Palestinian citizens to leave their own lands under the pretext of building without a permit.
In February 2023, IOF demolished and bulldozed about 41 facilities in Jerusalem. In addition, they excavated and razed three Palestinian agricultural lands.
