Indonesia Will Not Open Diplomatic Relations With Israel, Indonesian Foreign Ministry Declares

N.S | DOP -

Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Bagus Kobarsyih, has denied a Jerusalem Post report that said that Jakarta sent a secret delegation to Israeli occupation state.

“As long as Palestine is under Israeli occupation, Indonesia will not open diplomatic relations with Israel,” Begus stated.

Begus explained that  Israeli occupation state is trying to gain ground on the global stage by spreading lies in its favor, adding that Indonesian stance Regarding Palestinian cause remains unchanged.

The Israeli newspaper reported that two delegations from Pakistan and Indonesia were in Israel on secret visits. It claimed that trade and tourism between Israel and Indonesia had grown closer after a series of meetings.

Indonisia has always been a big supporter to Palestinians and their fair cause as it was the first country to recognise the independence of Palestine after the declaration of the State of Palestine in Algeria on 15 November 1988.
