Palestine supporters rallied in several cities worldwide to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre in which more than 3500 Palestinians and Lebanese were brutally massacred under the supervision of Israeli occupation.

For three days between 16 and 18 September 1982, militiamen from the Phalange movement embarked on an orgy of murder and mutilation in the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila in Beirut after the Israeli occupation under Ariel Sharon had occupied the Lebanese capital.

Pro-Palestine activists held their protests in various locations to reiterate their calls for justice and to denounce the ongoing Israeli occupation and its brutal practices against the Palestinian people.
