Dozens of Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem via its Al-Maghariba gate on Monday morning, March 27, 2023.

The Palestinian Department of Islamic Endowment in Jerusalem reported that tens of Israeli settlers, guarded by Israeli occupation forces IOF, broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed provocative rituals.

Ahead of the settlers’ invasion, A group of Israeli occupation forces raided and deployed at Al-Aqsa’s courtyards to pave a way for the settlers’ raid.

In addition, the IOF tightened restrictions on Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented several Palestinian youths from entering Al-Aqsa in the early hours of Monday.

On Saturday and Sunday nights, IOF raided Al-Aqsa and forcibly removed Palestinian worshipers, assaulting and kidnapping several.

However, Israeli settlers carry out semi-daily incursions into the blessed Mosque in Jerusalem and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Praying at Al-Aqsa Mosque is reserved for Muslims, and people from other faiths can only visit, according to the status-quo agreement in Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem continue their calls to mobilize at Al-Aqsa to confront the Israeli settlers’ incursions, expected to rise during the holy month of Ramadan.

Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on the Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa, regularly banning worshipers from entering the holy Mosque.

In February 2023 alone, at least 3583 Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli forces.
