DaysofPal- Abu Obeida, the military spokesperson of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said on Sunday that the group handled the issue of Israeli captives and remains with complete transparency and fulfilled all of its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.
In a statement published on his official Telegram channel, Abu Obeida said the Brigades handed over all living captives and the bodies in their possession as quickly as possible and without delay. He added that this was done despite Israel’s lack of commitment to the agreement and its involvement in numerous violations and mass killings.
He stressed that the Brigades were keen to close this file entirely and had no interest in prolonging it, citing the interest of the Palestinian people.
He noted that the work took place under highly complex and near-impossible conditions, with the recovery and delivery of all bodies carried out with the knowledge of the mediators.
Abu Obeida called on the mediators to assume their responsibilities and to compel Israel to implement what was agreed upon.
Regarding the body of the soldier Ran Gvili, he said the Brigades had provided the mediators with all available details and information concerning the location of the captive’s remains.
He concluded by saying that the credibility of the Al-Qassam account is reflected in Israel’s current search of a specific location based on the information the Brigades shared with the mediators.
