DaysofPal- Israeli forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank early Thursday, detaining dozens of Palestinians, including a journalist, former prisoners, students, and community activists.
The Israeli raids were concentrated in the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron.
According to local sources, soldiers stormed Sa’ir in a pre-dawn raid that lasted five hours, during which they broke into homes, damaged property, and intimidated residents.
Detainees were gathered inside a local café, which the Israeli forces converted into a makeshift interrogation site.
Among those arrested in Hebron were lawyer Abdul Qader Abu Shneb, journalist Yasser Jaradat, and several former prisoners, including Jihad Shallaldeh, Yusuf Jaradat, Ahmad Ayman Jaradat, and Mohammad Sharif Jaradat along with his son Sharif.
Others detained included Yusuf Murad Jaradat, Mohammad Abdel Hadi Jaradat, Ahmad Akram al-Froukh, Nadi Shallaldeh, and Mohammad Ziyad Saleh Shallaldeh.
Social activist Mohammad Asfour was also seized from his home in southern Hebron.
In Ramallah, troops arrested Birzeit University student Mohammad Rimawi, son of imprisoned journalist Alaa Rimawi, after raiding his home in al-Masayef neighborhood of al-Bireh.
In occupied East Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested former prisoner Murad Ayyan from his home in Ras al-Amoud, Silwan.
Ayyan had been released only last month after serving 22 months in administrative detention.
Further arrests were reported in Bethlehem, where two residents of al-Khader — Mahmoud Hikmat Ayyan Issa, 18, and Mahmoud Ali Rashid Salah, 28, were taken into custody. Eight others were detained for several hours during a raid on al-Asakra, east of the city.
In Salfit, Israeli forces raided the towns of Marda and Bruqin. In Marda, they arrested Ahmad Rasmi al-Khafsh after storming several homes.
In Bruqin, troops detained Mayor Fayed Sabra along with Mohammad Sabra and Hatem Samara, before releasing them hours later.
The overnight campaign comes amid escalating Israeli military activity across the West Bank, with frequent raids targeting former prisoners, students, and community leaders.
