DaysofPal- The Gaza genocide entered its 720th day on Thursday, marked by another night of deadly airstrikes and shelling that left dozens of Palestinians dead and many more wounded.
In one of the latest incidents, Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Dahrouj family, sheltering displaced people in northern al-Zawaida, central Gaza, killing 11 people, with others reported missing.
Four more Palestinians were killed and several were wounded when another strike hit the home of the Wadi family near the Jordanian Hospital west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 12,823 people have been killed and 54,944 injured since March 18, 2025, bringing the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, to at least 65,419, with more than 167,160 injured.
Thousands remain missing, trapped under rubble, buried in unmarked graves, or held in Israeli prisons under enforced disappearance during ground operations in the strip.
Health authorities warned that many victims remain unreachable under the debris or in the streets, as emergency and civil defense crews struggle to operate amid relentless bombardment.
Moreover, helicopter fire targeted a house belonging to the Qatrawi family in al-Nuseirat refugee camp, while airstrikes pounded al-Shati camp and Sheikh Radwan in Gaza City. In al-Nafaq Street, armored vehicles detonated explosives between residential homes, leaving widespread destruction.
An Israeli drone also opened fire on homes in the al-Sham’a area of al-Zeitoun, southeast Gaza City, injuring several civilians.
Furthermore, civil defense teams reported failing to locate schoolteacher Ghada Rabah, who had been trapped in her home in Tel al-Hawa, west of Gaza City. Rescue operations stretched for hours but ended in vain after Israeli forces struck the building a second time, completely leveling it.
Her brother, Hussam, along with several children, had been calling for help for days following an earlier strike. But rescue teams were unable to reach them in time. “The building is now nothing but rubble,” said civil defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, describing the scene of destruction.
As the war drags into its third year, Gaza’s population continues to endure catastrophic conditions, with mass displacement, severe hunger, and mounting casualties, as confirmed by rights groups, which is a campaign of extermination.
