A group of Israeli settlers stormed al-Malihat Bedouin village, northwest of Jericho, and poisoned dozens of Palestinian-owned sheep.
Local sources affirmed that the settlers placed the poison in the water that the sheep drank, resulting in the death of 50 heads belonging to a local farmer.
The attack came as part of the ongoing assaults by settlers targeting Palestinian farmers and their properties, aimed at pressuring and displacing them from their lands.
Since the Israeli genocidal war began on Oct. 7, settler rampage in the West Bank has flared in the occupied territory. Palestinian health officials earlier said that 703 Palestinians, including 147 children, have been killed by Israeli fire.
Many have been killed during Israeli military raids into Palestinian cities and towns, but settlers have killed at least 11 Palestinians, including two children, and injured 234 people, according to AIDA, a coalition of nonprofits and other groups working in the territory.
Rights groups also have criticized Israel for allowing its forces as well as settlers to operate with “endemic impunity” in their attacks against Palestinians.
