Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Jerusalem Christian Bishop Attallah Hanna has said that “Christians in Palestinian are part of Palestine’s cause and will forever remain supporter for Palestinians’ rights.”
Speaking in a statements, Hanna highlighted the importance of national unity and religious fraternity between Muslims and Christians.
“We are inherently Palestinians and resistance against the Israeli occupation is legitimate,” he said. “Palestinian Christians and Muslims are one body. We are all standing up for a single cause.”
He continued: “Christians and Muslims in the occupied territories are members of the same family. They share the same hope, aspiration, dream and goal. We share the same pain and wound.”
The Archbishop criticised the Israeli fanatic and extremist leaders, who have been inciting against Muslims and Christians.
“Racial incitements will only make Christians stronger,” he said, “we will forever cling to our deep-rootedness in our homeland and defend our holy sites.”
Regarding the desecration of Christian and Islamic holy sites by the Israeli illegal Jewish settlers known as Price Tag, he said: “Such violations are racist, barbaric and unethical. They are proofs of the blindness of the perpetrators.”
