Palestinian citizens in occupied Ramla held Friday, March 31, 2023 a vigil in support of Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli occupation prisons, especially those prisoners who suffer medical negligence.
Palestinian participants in the vigil raised pictures of the sick Palestinian prisoner Walid Daqqa, the hunger-striking prisoner Khader Adnan, and the prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, who encounters the risk of physical paralysis.
Participants also raised banners demanding the immediate release of sick prisoners and called for urgent treatment, denouncing the policy of medical negligence repeated by the Israeli occupation prison administration.
It’s worth mentioning that the number of Palestinian detainees who died inside the Israeli occupation prisons recently rose to 235, after the death of the Palestinian detainee Ahmed Abu Ali, 48, from the city of Yatta, near Hebron, as a result of the crime of medical negligence.
The occupation uses the policy of medical negligence as a weapon against Palestinians, by which Palestinian prisoners killed inside Israeli prisons.
As a result, the number of sick Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons has reached about 600 detainees, including 24 detainees with tumors.
Palestinian prisoners have been escalating disobedience against the prison administration, in response to its announcement of implementing punitive measures recommended by the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
The Occupation Prisons Administration has been imposing collective punishments against Palestinian prisoners in prisons, in response to their “disobedience” steps.
The number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli occupation prisons is 4,780, including 29 females and 160 children.
