Israeli occupation forces IOF shot on Friday night, March 31, 2023, a Palestinian youth near Chain (As-Silsila) gate in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

Palestinian eyewitnesses reported that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian youth who defended a Palestinian woman being attacked and prevented from entering Al-Aqsa by Israeli troops.

Media sources reported that the youth, identified as Mohammed Al-Osibi, 26, was proclaimed dead, adding that he is a resident of Hura town in the Palestinian 1948-occupied lands.

Israeli forces withheld his body without providing further details about the incident, media sources added.

After shooting Al-Osibi, Israeli occupation forces closed the doors of al-Aqsa Mosque and imposed more restrictions.

More Israeli forces were seen deployed in Al-Aqsa’s courtyards, obstructing the Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa.

A few hours before Al-Osibi was killed, Palestinian sources shared videos that documented Israeli forces attacking Palestinian worshipers as they tried to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In addition, Israeli troops wreaked havoc on the Qattaneen market in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem while attacking Muslim worshipers.

Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Israeli occupation forces have escalated violence against Palestinian worshipers, attacking and preventing them from entering Al-Aqsa for prayers.
