Israeli occupation forces IOF carried out a large-scale detention campaign in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem and kidnapped several Palestinians on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023.
Palestinian local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces invaded and wreaked havoc on several Palestinian homes in the early hours of Saturday in occupied Jerusalem.
The sources pointed out that Israeli troops detained the Palestinian youth Mahmoud Shawish after invading his home in the Bab Hatta area.
In addition, the Israeli forces kidnapped Ahmed Abu Ghazala, Mohammed Abu Kaf, and Mahmoud Al-Bakri after searching and wreaking havoc on their homes.
On Friday night, Israeli troops detained the Palestinian photojournalist Ibrahim Sinjalawi while covering the Israeli attacks against worshipers near Al-Aqsa Mosque.
This came a few days before the Jewish holiday of Passover, during which Israel escalated violence against Palestinian people in occupied Jerusalem.
The occupation forces carry out semi-daily raids into the Palestinian homes and towns in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
Under the ongoing Israeli forces’ raids, Palestinian families in West Bank and Jerusalem are subjected either to arrests, injuries, terror, or even murder.
According to Palestinian figures, Israeli occupation forces detained 480 Palestinians, including 62 children and 10 women, in February 2023.
