Sadaf Food, a company founded in 1982 and headquartered in Los Angeles, California, markets Palestinian traditional food and dishes such as hummus and falafel and presents them as Israeli products.
“USPCN has investigated Sadaf and Soofer Inc., a food company that distributes its goods in Arab grocery stores, Target, Food for Less, Cost Plus, etc,” stated the USPCN.
It added “Sadaf participates in normalization trade programs, supports continued Israeli settlements in Palestine, purchases goods from settler collectives, and culturally normalizes ‘Israel’ by co-opting Arab culture and being a customer of Israel Discount Bank. Sadaf has also previously used unhealthy substances in their food goods.”
“We call on the community to STOP BUYING Sadaf products immediately and to hold the line against normalization! Help spread our campaign by forwarding the newly launched Boycott Sadaf Campaign to your friends, families, personal networks, and any organizations that can be a parts in the total boycott of Sadaf products! We also call on Arab store owners to immediately stop selling Sadaf in their stores,” the USPCN concluded.
