DaysPal- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reiterated its urgent call for aid to medical facilities in the Gaza Strip, particularly hospitals in the north of Gaza , amid ongoing reports of Israeli attacks on these hospitals and their surrounding areas.
According to OCHA, the appeal launched yesterday, on Christmas Eve, aims to provide urgently needed food and water.
OCHA office also reported that northern Gaza remains nearly completely besieged by the Israeli occupation forces.
According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), only three ventilators are available in the northern Gaza Strip for infants requiring intensive medical care.”
The situation at Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals in northern Gaza has worsened significantly since Sunday, where Israeli occupation forces continue besieging , shelling the hospitals and threatening lives of patients , medical staff and the injured people.
Since the start of this month, the occupation has rejected 48 out of 52 United Nations attempts to coordinate the delivery of humanitarian aid.
