DayofPal– Israeli occupation forces bombed overnight a clearly marked press vehicle parked in the courtyard of Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing five Palestinian journalists at once.
All five journalists, working for the Palestinian satellite channel Al-Quds Today, were sleeping in a van – clearly marked with the words “press” – when Israeli aircraft bombed them.
They are: Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan, a correspondent for Al-Quds Today satellite channel; Ayman Al-Jadi, a photojournalist; Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed Al-Ladah, and Fadi Hassouna are journalists.
Journalist Ayman Al-Jidi was going to at Al-Awda hospital to check the condition of his pregnant wife who got married with during the current war and was supposed to give birth at the same night of his killing.
Ayman recorded a video with his slain colleagues just hours before his killing, celebrating and awaiting for the coming baby, yet Israel decided to steal his jubilations of having first newborn.
Like many journalists working in Gaza, they had camped in their van thinking they would be safe from attack, yet all that was left after the Israeli airstrike was the smouldering remains of the vehicle.
Videos circulated on social media show fire raging in the satellite broadcast vehicle belonging to Al-Quds Today with five journalists being burning to death inside.
Government Media Office thereby issued a statement revealing that the number of journalists who were killed by Israel has risen to 201 journalists since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. The number has jumped following the announcement of the killing of Al-Quds Today journalists.
Israeli attacks continued elsewhere in the Strip, with troops detonating explosives and wounding a nurse at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in besieged northern Gaza.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defence said Israeli forces are escalating nighttime attacks on residential buildings throughout the enclave, hampering its ability to respond and resulting in the deaths of many more people.
