Turkey Condemns Israeli Assault on Gaza Strip as “Unlawful and Immoral”

M.Y | DOP -

Turkey sharply criticized the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on Friday, demanding an immediate end to what it labeled as “unlawful and immoral” assaults.

Ibrahim Kalın, the Turkish presidential spokesperson, voiced strong criticism of the Israeli attacks on Gaza on Twitter, calling them both unlawful and immoral and urging the Israeli government to immediately stop its policy of violence.

The Israeli occupation conducted airstrikes in Gaza and southern Lebanon in the early hours of Friday.

The intensifying of the situation is a result of Israeli occupation forces breaking into the Al-Qibli Prayer Hall within the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in the occupied Jerusalem and forcibly removing Palestinian worshippers during the last two nights.

Kalın asserted that Turkey is in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and that they will not stop advocating for their Palestinian brothers and sisters, vowing that the oppression will be brought to an end.

Mustafa Şentop, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament, strongly denounced the Israeli “illegitimate and cruel assault.”

Şentop took to Twitter to express his firm belief that justice will ultimately win in the face of Israeli warplanes bombing Gaza every Ramadan, and that the honorable Palestinian people will ultimately prevail.
