Dozens of Palestinians were killed and more than 100 wounded in a spate of Israeli air strikes throughout the Gaza Strip as the carnage and destruction resumes on Wednesday Sept.11th, 2024.
Gaza’s civil defence agency reported that four people, including a woman and child, have been killed in an Israeli bombing of a residential apartment in the Tuffah neighbourhood in northern Gaza City.
The apartment belonged to the Al-Bilbisi family in the Al-Mashhara area, it said. A search for the missing is continuing.
Five people were killed, including two children and a woman, and many others were injured after the Israeli occupation targeted the home of the “Dahdouh” family south of Al-Shamaa Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City. The attacked people were moved to the Baptist Hospital following the airstrike.
Local sources said that four members of Aby Eteiwi family were killed in an Israeli attack on Block C in Al-Nuseirate.
The Government Media Office also reported that at least 18 people, including women and children, were killed in the air attack on Al-Jaouni school-turned-shelter in central Gaza Strip.
The United Nation’s Palestinian refugee agency said six of its staffers were killed in two Israeli air raids on central Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp – the “highest death toll among our staff in single incident” during the war.
The UN-operated Al-Jaouni school, a shelter for thousands of displaced Palestinians, was hit by multiple Israeli attacks over the course of the war.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the civil defence agency said that at least four people were killed and seven wounded in an Israeli air raid on Nassr neighbourhood.
Israeli jets struck a group of people waiting to buy bread outside Al-Sharq bakery west of Gaza City.
Earlier on Wednesday, according to the European Hospital, an attack struck a home near the southern city of Khan Younis, killing 11 people from Al-Qarra family, including six brothers and sisters from the same family who ranged in age from 21 months to 21 years old.
Other four people were killed and 15 other wounded in Israeli attack on Abu Shalouf family in Mawasi Rafah. Another Israeli attack has just killed six people of Musallem family in Khan Younis Al-Amal neighborhood.
