Dozens of Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the Palestinian worshipers at Bab Al-Amoud area, Sunday evening.
The settlers attacked the Palestinian worshipers with gas pepper. Moreover, the occupation police detained two Palestinian youths after they were assaulted by settlers with pepper gas and stones at Bab Al-Amoud.
In a related incident, local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces detained the Palestinian youth Shadi Abu Sninah at Bab Hatta, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation settlers raised the Israeli flags at Bab Al-Amoud, provoking Palestinians. This comes at a time when Israel prevents Palestinians from raising the Palestinian flag in the occupied Jerusalem.
