Israeli occupation authorities released on Sunday the Palestinian prisoner Majd Ali Halasa, 21, from Jabal Mukaber in occupied Jerusalem, after he had served his 25-month sentence in the Negev prison.
Meanwhile, the prisoner Nabil Shreiteh Sheikh from Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied Jerusalem was also released, after 8 months of detention in the Israeli prisons.
The two released prisoners were warmly welcomed by their families and friends in the occupied Jerusalem.
In an attempt to obliterate the joy of Palestinian released prisoners and their families, the Israeli occupation authorities summoned Majd Halasa, for interrogation a few hours after his release, local sources reported.
According to the Palestine Prisoners’ Society, around 4,700 Palestinians are held currently in Israeli jails, including up to 600 held administratively without charge or trial.
