Ilhan Omar: We have no leg to stand if we can't defend Palestinians

Ilhan Omar, an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota, commented on the Israeli violence against Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza Strip in a tweet today Tuesday. 

Omar tweeted that many will tell you Israel has a right to defend itself, to safety and security, but are silent on whether Palestinians have those rights too.

"Until we can defend the rights of Palestinians just as we do Israelis, we have no leg to stand on when it comes to justice or peace," She added.

Israeli occupation later on Monday launched raids of attacks against the Gaza Strip to prevent from supporting Palestinians in Jerusalem who have been under Israeli violence since the start of the holy month of Ramadan.

Later on Monday, 20 Palestinians among them 9 children have been killed in an Israeli air raid in the besieged Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

More than 300 Palestinians wounded after Israeli police stormed the mosque, firing rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas on Monday as well.
