Today, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the Palestinian detainees continue, for the second day in a row, their struggle against the Israeli occupation prison administration’s new punitive measures.

After it began yesterday in Nafha prison only, Palestinian detainees in Rimon, Ofer, Megiddo, Gilboa, and Naqap prisons are taking part in these protests. This was in response to the Israeli prison administration’s announcement to start applying the abusive measures recommended by the fascist minister, Itamar Ben Gvir.

The initial steps of disobedience are represented in closing the sections, obstructing the so-called (security check), and wearing brown clothes imposed by the prison administration as a message of the Palestinian detainees’ readiness to go into escalating confrontations with the Israeli prisons administration.

It is noteworthy that, on the first day of the detainees’ protest, the prisons administration cut off the hot water from the detainees in Nafha prison. One of the jailers, during the so-called (security check), provoked the detainees, and boasted about the procedures of Ben Gvir, which imposed a state of tension in the prison.

It is worth mentioning that the Palestinian detainees announced, last Monday, a series of struggle steps against Ben Gvir’s procedures, starting with disobedience, and culminating in announcing a hunger strike on the first of Ramadan.
