The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated Tuesday, February 14, 2023 that Palestinian prisoners will begin, today, to implement disobedience steps in “Nafha” Israeli prison, provided that the implementation such steps will later on expand in the rest of other Israeli prisons.

The implementation of these steps comes in response to the occupation prison administration’s announcement to start implementing punitive systematic measures against Palestinian prisoners announced by the extremist Minister of National Security “Ben Gvir” starting with restricting the amount of water prisoners use.

In turn, Palestinian prisoners decided to take further steps as wearing the Shabbas dress, which is the brown dress imposed by the prison administration, which will end with announcing a hunger strike on the first of next Ramadan. This step means the prisoners’ readiness to escalate the confrontation with the prison administration, especially in “Nafha” Israeli prison.

Note that 4,500 Palestinians are currently detained inside Israeli occupation prisons, including 400 who have severe and chronic illnesses, 31 women, and 500 administrative detainees.

In the absence of strong pressure to stop the systemic inhumane abuses, the racist and fascist policies of the Prison Service Administration have a negative impact on Palestinian detainees.
