Hamas Movement Monday said in a press statement that the Israeli occupation is the one that started the aggression against our people in Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and he has to bear the consequences and pay the price.
Fawzi Barhoum, Hamas spokesman said that all greetings to the valiant resistance in the Joint Operation Room of the Palestinian Resistance Factions, especially the Qassam Brigades, for fulfilling the promise and their direct response to the crime of the Israeli occupation against our people in Jerusalem and worshipers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“All our greetings to our people in Jerusalem for their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli aggression against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and their response to the encroachment the Zionist usurpers and occupation soldiers with all their strength,” Barhoum added.
He stressed that what is happening in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and targeting children and civilians in Gaza, is dangerous Zionist aggression against our Palestinian people and its sanctities, and it crossed all lines. Hamas will not hesitate for a single moment to protect and defend it at all costs.
All Palestinian arenas in Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank and the occupied interior are one front in confronting the aggression, responding to the occupation and clashing with it, with all forms and tools of resistance, Barhoum confirmed.
Tensions have escalated in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza throughout the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, amid growing international anger over Israeli intents to expel Palestinian families from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah to make way for Jewish settlers.
Hundreds of Palestinians were wounded during an Israeli police crackdown on protesters outside the Old City of Jerusalem and Sheikh Jarrah.
