Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Israeli occupation authorities Thursday released the prisoner, Asim Al-Kaabi, 43, from Balata camp, east of Nablus, in the northern occupied West Bank, after his 18-year-old rule ended.
Al-Kaabi was released from the Negev desert prison, and dozens of his relatives and friends were receiving him at the Dhahriya crossing, south of Hebron.
Al-Kaabi was arrested in 2003, and he was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his anti-occupation activities.
He lost his parents during the years of his detention, and for three years he was associated with Samoud Saadat, daughter of the captive General Secretary of the Popular Front, Ahmed Saadat.
