Days of Palestine – Ramallah
The Palestinian Authority (PA) today, Wednesday, called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to work to expose the violations of the Israeli occupation authorities against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and condemn them internationally.
This came in a letter sent by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, to the Organization's Secretary-General, Yusef Ahmed Al-Uthaimin, about the violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In his message, Al-Maliki urged all member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their continuous aggression against Christian and Islamic holy sites, foremost of which is the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In his message, he reviewed the latest developments related to the occupation measures against Al-Aqsa, especially on the eve of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Al-Maliki stressed that the Palestinian Authority will continue to coordinate its efforts with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and with Jordan to confront the Israeli incursions, with the aim of providing the greatest degree of protection for the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli police destroyed the locks of the "Gate of the Chain" and the door leading to the roof of the Islamic Museum and cut the external speaker wires of the Haram al-Sharif.
The police also attacked the employees of the Jerusalem Endowments Administration and the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and also prevented the distribution of breakfast meals to those fasting near the "Bab Al-Lions" and seized them.
It is noteworthy that the Jerusalem Endowments Department of the Ministry of Endowments, Holy Places and Islamic Affairs in Jordan is the official supervisor of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Endowments of Jerusalem, according to international law, which Jordan is the last local authority to supervise these sanctities before its occupation by "Israel".
