The Prisoners and Executives Affairs Authority said today, Thursday that the Prisoner Imad Al-Batran, who has been administratively detained since 01/27/2020, has been continuing his open hunger strike for 35 consecutive days protesting his administrative detention.
The commission stated, in a press release, that the prisoner, Al-Battran who is now in the "Ramle Prison Clinic", has been detained administratively for four consecutive times since his last arrest, the last of which was on 1/21/2021 and ending on 5/17/2021.
It indicated that the prisoner Al-Batran (47 years) from the city of Hebron suffers from severe stomach problems and pain, vomits blood, arterial problems, weakness, general emaciation, and joint pain, does not take any kind of supports or painkillers, and does not undergo any medical examinations.
It is noteworthy that Al-Batran was arrested more than once, and he spent ten years in the Israeli occupation prisons, most of which were in administrative detention, and in 2013 he went on an open hunger strike that lasted 105 days refusing administrative detention, he also went on strike in 2016 against his administrative detention, which lasted 35 days.
