DaysofPal- The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Thursday that two Palestinians were killed and 15 others injured over the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing repercussions of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.

The ministry stated that several victims remain trapped under the rubble and lying in the streets, noting that ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them. As a result, the actual number of casualties is expected to be higher than the figures currently recorded.

Two Palestinians were killed in Gaza on Thursday. Israeli occupation forces shot one in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, while the other succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced people west of Gaza City. The deaths occurred amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Local sources reported that a Palestinian was killed after Israeli occupation forces opened fire on him in the Beit Lahia area, where sporadic shootings and attacks have continued to affect several parts of the enclave.

In a related development, medical sources announced the death of Abdul Rahman Ziyada, a young Palestinian who had been critically injured several days earlier when Israeli forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced civilians inside Ibn Sina School west of Gaza City.

On the ground, Israeli naval vessels opened fire early Thursday off the coast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. At the same time, Israeli military vehicles targeted the eastern areas of the city with live ammunition and shells, accompanied by artillery bombardment and heavy gunfire.

Israeli ceasefire violations also extended to the eastern section of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, where military vehicles fired bullets and shells into the area, further heightening the danger facing Palestinians living in the eastern and southern districts.

Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire in Gaza through shelling, gunfire, and direct attacks on various locations across the territory, while humanitarian and living conditions for Palestinians continue to deteriorate.

According to data released by the Ministry of Health, the total number of casualties recorded since the ceasefire was announced on October 10 has reached 1,031 killed and 3,309 injured, in addition to 785 bodies recovered from under rubble and other locations.

Since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal campaign on October 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll in Gaza has risen to 73,043, while the total number of injuries has reached 173,417, according to the ministry.
